MicroPlus™ microfiber is so specialized, only a handful of factories worldwide have the capability and capacity to manufacture it efficiently.

Microfiber Technology
Because ordinary cotton fibers are round, dirt has a tendency to be picked up and then re-deposited back onto the floor, which means the floor is not being adequately cleaned. Instead of leaving dirt on the floor like ordinary cotton mops, the new MicroPlus™ Mop with microfiber attracts dust, dirt and common household allergens. When used damp with Bona® Swedish Formula® Floor Cleaners, it actually absorbs dust and dirt, wicking it away from the floor surface.

What is Microfiber?
MicroPlus™ microfibers are incredibly fine, only 1/100th the size of a strand of hair! They are comprised of wedge-shaped polyester filaments around a nylon core. These oil and water-attracting polymer fibers are woven into masses of tiny hooks and loops. These hooks and loops actually cut through dried-on stains, attracting and absorbing dirt and microparticles.

How Does it Work?
MicroPlus™ microfibers are not treated with any chemicals. When used dry, the fiber's wedge-shaped filaments follow surface contours, creating an electrostatic charge, lifting and trapping dust and dirt inside the fiber. When used damp with Bona® Swedish Formula® Floor Cleaners, a capillary effect between the filaments and nylon core creates a super absorbency in the fibers, wicking dirt, dust and microparticles away from the floor surface. MicroPlus microfiber has an absorption rate of over 420% of the weight of its material!

A New Mophead Design
We have incorporated a new lightweight mophead design for better maneuverability and ease of use. It is now easier to get into those hard-to-reach areas such as under furniture and cabinet toekicks, around doors or in tight corners. Velcro strips on the new mophead make changing the pad effortless. Just place the mop pad on the floor then push the mophead onto the pad and you're ready to go!
