Today Wojtek and his brother show us how to operate a Clarke American Sanders OBS-18DC Random Orbital Sander. Sometimes called a square buffer, this piece of equipment is by far the easiest piece of flooring equipment to you, so much so, that most rental centers and big box stores rent them. It’s not as aggressive as a belt or drum sander, but you have limited risk on how bad you can damage the floor too! When sanding a new floor or refinishing an old floor, you start with a rough grit, and move up in grits removing the scratches left over. In this video, they are doing the final pass of 120 grit screen for a really smooth floor before putting the sealer down.
